¹cdmaOne is a brand name referring to the first major CDMA standard for modern cellular systems proposed by Qualcomm; it is standardized by Interim Standard 95 (IS-95), also known as ANSI-95, or TIA-EIA-95. Another standard, ANSI-J-STD-008, expands the standard from the initial 800MHz use to PCS use at 1.9GHz.
